Thanks for sharing. This board has become a toxic waste dump of empty opinions and I'd much rather we keep it real sometimes.

Sometimes I bitch to my wife that if she had her way, the whole house would look like the refrigerator door, that is to say, would be plastered with photos of grandchildren and siblings and old friends.

But guess what? You just can't have too many pictures. I have very few from my work days and I wish I had more. Well, there are photos of the annual fishing trip with guys from the office and a couple of retirement pictures, but not nearly enough.

When my father died, my sister went through every photograph the family had and put together two scrap books for me which I will treasure forever.

It's like Paul Simon said:

Time it was and what a time it was

It was....

A time of innocence, a time of confidences

Long ago, it must be

I have a photograph
