I value the intelligent discussion and info presented by you all. I do occassionally wonder if we aren't too short-term in our thinking.

Sirius isn't going to pop for many many months. But I don't care.

I look at important metrics over a useful period of time to find trends that indicate future value. If you accept that Sirius is a startup, and believe it has decent management based on past performance (huge increase in subscribers and revenue, and solid content deals (READ: NASCAR)) then the daily beatings are easier to take.

As long as we don't have an Enron like implosion due to hidden scandals (financial or ethical--I don't think Howard like animals inordinately so), then this company seems poised for significant success.

It's all about subscriber acquisition, and there is no reason Sirius will not continue to outsell XM in 2007. NASCAR is HUGE!

My big promo idea: Install SATRAD in every rental car. You just need to experience the content selection and FREEDOM of SPEECH once to understand how much you're missing with regular commercial-filled radio.
