Look first to hypertension - TMF Helical

This is just off the top, because I haven't yet read all the posts in their entirety. So I don't if my post is off the mark.

I am very healthy eating habits. But I also like bacan sans the fat.
Once on vacation in Bangkok, the free breakfast was so sumptuous that I ate lots and lots of bacon and other stuff, delicious.

That was about 7 years ago. Mind you, I was never fat, nor a habitual over eater. Bacon is not in my daily diet.

Surprise, surprise, my weight is about the same as when I was in high school, a zillion years ago. The secret is : stop when you feel you are full. I never diet. But I hear other people do. It doesn't really work, and its is no fun at all. Losing weight is a gradual thing. Don't ask me about blood pressure. You would want to kill me.
