Looking at Cisco's CF statement I am having trouble with the math. In the "Cash Flow from investing activities" the total for 2001 is (3672). When I add the numbers with a HP 12C I get (1787). What am I missing?

First, I think the number I put in bold should be (3,762). This is what I see on their 10-Q.

That would put you off by 1,975. Which exactly matches "Purchases of short-term Investments" on the 10-Q.
