DW's company is switching 401k plans. We have a modest rollover check and now we need to find a place to stick it. I have taken a cursory look at the Fidelity subset that we can choose from, but I am looking for a little help in narrowing down the options.

In reading the tenor of this board, I am probalby asking the wrong people, but I am not in a position to actively manage my mutual funds. We are best suited at this time to plug it in and let it ride until we start taking money out. To that end, I much prefer a low fee index tracker.

Unfortunately, there is only one such available to us in this plan, and I'm not sure it is a good one: Spartan Total Market Index Fund which tracks the Wilshire 5000, symbol FSTMX.

Anyone familiar enough with Fidelity offerings to help me out, or someone with general knowlege of managed funds who can help me pick the right fund strategy to minimize risk without sacrificing all the gains?
