<< We recently purchased a new home that had serious renovation needs!!. We spent around $22,000 for repairs before we could move in. I heard somewhere that any repairs made within 90 days of purchase, were tax deductible. I can't find any info on this. Can you give me any information! >>

You heard wrong. These expenses are not deductible. Do keep your records, in case the basis of your home is important some day.
