<<how long have you had yours and how long do you have to have it before they look at your account for an increase? Or do you have to ask them for one? I was wondering when a friend and I talked about this. She has had a card since November 1999 and has never been given an increase.>>

This question wasn't directed towards me but maybe I can help answer.

I will tell you that I have had my Discover card since 1994 and have received a credit increase once a year every year since then. I have never asked Discover for a credit increase but I started at $1500 in 1994 and currently have a $11,200.
