<<However, as a patriotic nationalist, I'd give Obama my approval for having provided the leadership that killed that enemy of the United States.

My understanding is that they had asked for permission to launch operations to take bin Laden down a half-dozen times, and Obama said no. Finally an opportunity came up and they launched the operation, and then told Obama - after copters were in the air. He would have had to cancel action already in progress to save bin Laden, and even he saw how bad that would look to Americans.>>

I hadn't heard that one.

Even if true, the President is Commander in Chief and Obama gets credit for putting an end to Bin Laden, in my view.

Obama had at least one day where he acted like a patriotic nationalist. Perhaps that was the best day he was in office. He was smart enough to realize that. but I suppose he was too weighed down by his liberal internationalist base to revise what he was doing to have additional good days like that.

Well, better one good day than none at all, don't you think?
