Maybe.....but it's also a good exercise to see oneself through the other guy's eyes (or camera lens).

If I had a dollar for every patient who came to my office with a "story to tell" about how the other guy screwed up....let's just say, I wouldn't need my office to earn a living.

With the sort of folk who are willing to badmouth their last dentist, I do a few things....

1) I try to make sure I don't make the same mistake (just in case they're actually giving an accurate account of what happened)

2) I try to make sure I cover my arse (just in case they're giving their own account of what happened)

3) I try to make sure all financial arrangements are watertight (just in case they're trying to justify stiffing their dentist with their account of what happened)

Not necessarily in that order!!
