In fact, they are not committing to any time frame for the next Windows NT. Ballmer seems to be spinning this as an outcome of the recent reorganization, but I suspect there are some technical difficulties involved as well.>>


This is a good point. On the other hand, I bet MS will realize sizeable revenue from the consumer version of Windows 2000 next year and will clean up from the release of the next release of NT, whenever that comes.
