<<My question is this: If I find a new job that offers Health insurance coverage and accept that coverage but then later (one month , two months, or more) decide that this job is not for me, Do I lose the remaining part of the 18 months availability for cobra coverage?
I have limited experience (one employer, 1999) but I know what I was told. We had a waiting period before being eligible for the new employer's health insurance coverage. I was told that once I was covered by the health insurance, that I'd be eligible for COBRA coverage upon leaving that employer.
So in your case, I think you'd begin over with a new 18-month period.
This is something to "look before you leap" though, for real sure!
Good luck!
