So the rookie Krupka had 1703 valid signatures. There were some 2700 signature revocations. Simple math suggests that over 1000 people signed official papers revoking their signature when they had never signed anything in the first place.

Just another case of the luck of the draw.

The 19 year old should have known that politics in Chicago is a full contact sport. Those in power make sure that their surrogates bring all their equipment to the game. They do not normally need to use their baseball bats. Most times it is more than enough for the person being asked to sign something to know that somebody nearby has one.
