As a new Fool, I have a question on how to most effectively and efficiently perform Foolish analysis on a stock. I am comfortable with the stock screens and the recommended financial indicators; however, I am currently reduced to requesting a prospective companies financials (10-K, 10-Q, etc.) and then manually input the I/S, B/S and Cashflow Statement into Excel to "quickly" calculate the key ratios and trends. Is there any place on the internet that I can get a companies financials and import them directly in to Excel? Foolishly I am looking for a cheap/free source. I know that Edgar has the financial filings, but I can't get it into Excel. What am I missing? Everyone on this board seems to be crunching some serious numbers and I assume you are not typing them into a spreadsheet. I appreciate any direction you can give me. Thanks and Fool on!
