Many battery chargers these days have a setting that will start your car. Or charge your battery enough to get the job done. I got mine long ago but you will often find them in the auto parts section of discount stores like Walmart or K-Mart. They used to be about $40.

I've seen filling stations bring out a battery in a shoulder carrier for use in remote locations. I don't think many individuals have those but apparently they are available.

Here is a typical battery charger (but mine is less fancy and cheaper)--
