Many thanks YewGuise,

If you paid it, you didn't receive it, so the amount wouldn't go there.

I thought if I paid interest on the home equity line/loan, I should be able to claim it? Line 8a is titled 'Home mortgage interest and points reported....', so I thought I could deduct the interest I paid on the Home equity loan?

how about putting it in and see what TT does with it?

unfortunately I used the TT Delux online and I don't see a way to access the form again .... all the online site has is a link to download the completed pdf...

Sorry to be confusing....

Mick
