Posted this before but can’t find it.
I plan to start matching all the picks from SA, 1pm Thursday stock purchases. However, I realize that will require buying 24 stocks every year. In 5 years I will own 120 new stocks if I do this. Stock Advisor doesn’t issue that many sell recommendations, so maybe they issue 2 per year so I’m at 110 stocks. Am I missing something here ? To match just David’s returns I have to buy 12 new stocks each year but rarely sell.
I don’t see a current Stock Advisor Portfolio anywhere, just the 10 stocks to own now, however I believe the report on performance is based on all the picks which means you must buy all the picks to get that return.
If you only buy some, like I still own Sierra Wireless and DDD (will sell soon) , you may take the bad picks and miss the real winners, so you have to buy all.
Fools, please advise am I missing something here ?
