Can anyone tell me if funds contributed toward my 401(k) via company match is counted when determining if my contributions exceed the $10,500 annual maximum?I'd like to bring my contributions up to the maximum without exceeding it and/or incurring any penalty. My company matches the first 4% of contributions.Thanks.
Aleph,Don't worry. The limit is only on the part that you put in, not the employer match.Go for the max!!Beth
Beth,Thanks. I thought that was so, but couldn't seem to get a definitive answer. I'm goin' for it... :-)Aleph
I am at 10%, trying for 15% by year end. Godd luck with your pursuit!
