Maybe add a little Mio Energy flavoring

While this is probably a reasonable alternative to drinking regular, sugar sweetened drinks, it's poor advice for someone who actually doesn't mind the taste of water flavored water.

Although the non nutritive sweeteners might add zero calories to the overall daily intake, they're still sweet and, as a consequence, do nothing to help with taste bud "rehab". Cutting out sweetened beverages (including sweetened tea and coffee) is a major step for someone who's overhauling their diet in general and is looking to reduce all those "stealth" sugars that have found their way into the modern day diet.

It's incredible how sweet things that you don't expect can start to taste when you cut out sugar/sweeteners in your drinks
