Maybe not so today, but years ago I bought Illustrator, Photoshop from an ad locally. The ladies business had changed, she didn't need it any more.

On loading it on my computer, it would not accept the key codes.., OK, called Adobe support, before they would change the software ownership, I had to get a letter of release from the prior owner, fax that to them before they would let me use the software.. Luckily, it was here in town, and the seller was OK with it, but it was an added pain.

Eventually, I left that behind, found a fair price on the Photoshop CS6 package, and there I still am. So far. This is all on my Mac, currently a 2012, Im' unsure what I'll do if the OS rejects all 32 but applications down the line, likely drop back to Elements, as I do not want to go to a monthly rental subscription..

Adobe is very protective of it's software, it is the tops, but, as a retiree, hobbyist, there are limits...

(I no longer bother with software I see at garage sales, flea markets, too much hassle.)
