Personally, I can nap at the drop of a hat.
But if I had an option, I suspect a shot or two of bourbon would do the
trick better than anything.

Hot tea or some sorts or warm milk are also feasible - though doctored version
would be much more fun.

But the main idea is to relax and let the mind relax - with thoughts going
where they will. Folks frequently tie themselves into knots and allow the
churn of the day keep them tense. Sleep comes by turning off those things
that cause upset and letting yourself relax.
