Today the sales guy from my merchant credit card company told my some new law will require me to process credit cards with machines that do not print the cards entire number on the receipt. This is supposed to go into effect before the end of the year. Anyone know if this is true?

Also, my old machines do not have pin keypads and run check cards like credit cards charging the same (CC) rate. He wants to sell me a new machine (for only $1350) that will let customers type in their pin numbers and, he says, the charge to us for check cards will be only a flat 23¢ per purchase. Does this sound about right?
