To you and all of yours!

We've had two Xmases already - our little nuclear family's and my side's dinner/gift exchange. Big kids are now at their dad's house (he's returned from deployment recently) for the next few days.

It was fun, I'm glad it's over.

T decided last year (maybe the year before? It all blends together now) that he wanted to do Santa gifts for our youngest*. So there is a present under the tree for when little man wakes up this morn.

They will head up to his grandparents house after a quick breakfast, and then to his mom's house to troubleshoot a wonky furnace. I get a day to myself to binge watch A Christmas Story, read a little and catch up on laundry before we go back to work tomorrow.

We'll have T's side Xmas next weekend, extended and his mom's house as two separate events, PLUS our annual NYE extravaganza. It will be fun, and I'll be glad when it's over, too.

The kids loved their gifts, T loved his stocking stuffers *and* he was listening a few weeks ago when I didn't think he actually was...he procured a Boy Band Xmas album for me, which is one of my guilty pleasures. I already knew every word, and he was amused and slightly disturbed.

impolite

* He's 6 now. It's mind boggling. Our oldest has his learner's permit and I let him drive to school each morning, then I move to the driver's seat to drive to work. Our middle is still a pre-teen, but only by a month. GAH
