Some people, me for example, have high morning blood sugars because our blood sugar rises in the two or three hours before waking. My blood sugar at 3:30 AM will usually be about 75-85. (The few times I have awakened at that time and gone back to sleep.) Upon arising, about 7:30 my blood sugar will be about 125. My doc says that some people are just this way and it's no big deal so long as we have good hemoglogin A1C readings. I need to check this out with a specialist but wonder if anyone has heard similar things.

This is the same boat I am in. My doc is pleased with the readings based on the A1C.

Who sometimes does not fall asleep until 3:30am...
