Hey All,

After much time, thought, and research, I finally made the big purchase this past weekend. I bought a Char-Griller Super Pro with the side fire box (http://www.chargriller.com/grills.html). I ended up going with this grill for several reasons.

1) Cost - As much as I'd love to drop $400 on a grill, that just isn't in my youg man's workin' budget. Post tax, my total grill came to about $180.

2) Features - I really dig a lot of the standard features with this grill. The built in warming rack runs the length of the grill and will be pretty handy. I also really like the built in thermostat, attached wooden shelves, and pull out ash catcher. I'm also pretty excited about the side fire box because, along with just giving me the capacity to smoke properly, you can easily grill smaller meals (several burgers, for instance) without having to use the larger grill space. Even the side fire box has a pull out ash catcher!

3) Reputation - Okay, so I've only known one of person who has owned this grill...and I can't even remember his name. But! It was one of the guys on this board who gave me advice during my decision phase. He seemed pretty happy with how well it was built, which had a large part in my ultimately deciding to go with it. (Note: attaching the side fire box was a real @%#@# of a project).

Thanks so much for all your help and advice, guys. I'm going to break it in for the first time with some ribs this weekend. I'm pumped!

Grill On!
