The wash rule is only when you sell a Stock for a loss then buy it back within 30 days

Anything you sell at a loss in 2011 can be used to offset gains booked in 2011

You could sell Monday Morning and use that loss vs the other gain

If you then bought that same stock again you sold Monday within 30 days that would be a wash sale

Wash Sales are only for stocks you sold at a loss
