Subject:  Should I wait a bit?? Date:  10/11/2018  2:55 PM

I'm not proud to say this, but I have no money invested now. I have a little less than 50k savings to work with. I'm "young" and active at 70 years old, and I still have a decent self-employed income of $50k a year.

I want very much to get into some investments, but wonder if - right now - I should wait a bit. I don't "feel" like I can afford to take much of a hit even if I'm thinking longer term. I'm interested in thoughts on waiting a little longer to see if there is a continued downturn and get in then. When I get in, I intend to be in it long term, but I know I'd freak out if a serious downturn happened shortly after I invest. If you were in my position today, what would you do?
