Yep, we have a Weyerhaeuser pole farm within 5 miles of where I reside... storage, treatment and aging. They gotta have a few 1000 there, all horizontal. Takes up maybe 5 acres. Their start farm is within a mile and occupies a dozen acres. BTW, harvest is ~20 years. No longer, no shorter... for economic and growth effectiveness. I had never seen either of these, till I moved here. One of our natural renewable resources. Grows great up here. |
