Thanks for posting the link to Damodaran's EVA site. As I mention in my book's introduction, the enterprising income statement is EVA.

My one quibble with Prof. D's spreadsheet is that intangibles are expensed (as far as I can tell). In my spreadsheet, I can choose from among a 3, 5 and 10-year depreciation period for intangibles.

On a different subject, I will be writing an occasional column for TMF, and my first column should run in a week or two. Looking forward to it!
