mishedlo, thanks for the informative post. Still, after reading it i can't decide if i should buy.

I couldn't tell you if Rambus will be higher 2 years from now..maybe i'm dumb (i donno)

If there was one single event that told me Rambus will succeed, that would be 1.) the failure of DDRAM to make it to the market, which would mean zero competition 2.) very bad performance compared to Rambus ram 3.) or all the memory companies decide to support Rambus ram.

I doubt 3 will ever happen any time soon and if it does happen the stock will go through the roof before i can buy.

The thing is, i have no idea if Rambus will succeed. With Gemstar it's much easier. Gemstar has some of the best and biggest companies in the world paying for Gemstar's IP. Now all we're waiting for is a tornado to form and the rest of the world to wake up and we're off to the races.

Maybe if this stock hits 110 or some thing i'll buy
some shares as a spec play or some thing. Still, i'm unsure.

However, i think all this FUD that is around Rambus is a good thing. It must mean Rambus has some thing important, right? From what i heard, QCOM had lots of FUD about CMDA and we all know that was untrue..

I have come to two conclusions:
1.) DDRAM isn't out and seems much like the hype of FreeISP vs. Aol

FreeISP have yet to effect Aol's top and bottom line and that's one of the reasons i held onto Aol stock.

2.) This whole rambus thing is too complicated and not worth my investment or time. Stocks like Gemstar, Realnetworks, or Infospace are much easier to understand (for me atlest)
