September 26th, my 49th celebration of giving up smoking, passed by without even a thought about it on my part. A senior brain freeze maybe?

Back in the year I was born FDR was midway thru his second term, gas was 10¢ a gallon, bread was 9¢ a loaf, and a pound of hamburger was 13¢, so I guess I'm entitled to an occasional brain freeze! Of course, the average income was $2100.00, so it all equals out in the long run.

Well, now I'm looking forward to 50 years next September, and I will put numerous reminders in many places to ensure that I don't forget the Big Five-Oh.

All continues to be well here in the mid-Atlantic region of the east coast. Lettie and I have avoided COVID-19 thus far and four family members who did contract the virus recovered without needing hospitalization.

Until next time,
Lyle

First, Congratulations 49 years smoke free! 49 virtual hugs for that. Second, looking forward to your 50th celebration of being smoke free.

I think we are close to the same age but I only have about 35 smoke free years.

At a way!
49 years is a great time period - helps one breath easier than before.
