Back on March 3 The Mongoose put together a competition - a sort of stock tournament and asked folks to vote on which companies would represent the better investments going forward. Companies were divided into brackets and seeded: then matched against other companies in their bracket. Companies voted winners by board members and visitors moved on to the next match.

Here is a list of the 32 companies that appeared in that competition:

(In no particular order)

ZM
FUBO
OKTA
SHOP
XPEV
SE
FUTU
FVRR
DDOG
PLTR
MDB
ETSY
DKNG
DOCU
TTD
FTCH
CRWD
SKLZ
MGNI
NIO
BILL
ENPH
LSPD
PTON
MELI
SNOW
ZI
NARI
APPS
NET
TSLA
KC

There were only two semi-salient points to the competition: 1) Have some fun with investing; and, 2)Determine how accurate our group intelligence would be in identifying the better investments moving forward. Four months or so later, I want to put together an update to see how we are doing so far; while, at the same time, recognizing that any puny 4 month slice of any investing cake is relatively meaningless - unless and until of course it isn't. A personal opinion - that.
