I started a new message board for anyone interested in writing shareholder proposals for other companies:

Also, I'm thinking about nominating myself for Apple's Board of Directors, not because I think there's any chance that they'd actually take me, but because it would give me another opportunity to give our message to the people that matter. Hopefully the nominating committee (Bill Campbell & Art Levinson) will at least pretend to be interested and interview me by email or phone and give me a chance to get them thinking.

My nomination would not be based on any grand accomplishments or being the best possible individual candidate, but rather on my ability to provide a unique perspective that currently is lacking from the Board of Directors, based on:

12 years as a public elementary school teacher
22 years as an Apple customer
5 years as an active Apple shareholder
4 years as a member of the Board of Directors of a non-profit organization

Anyone want to help me spiff up my application, or email and nominate me yourself?
