Most of the mileage has been stop-and-go in NoVA traffic................

Lot's of folks drive in similar traffic and manage not to kill a clutch in only 22K miles.

My guess which WILL be unpopular is that the drivers of this vehicle are not a skilled at using a clutch, driving a manual tranny as they thought.

It is posible that the clutch is defective but unfortunately it is more likely operator error.
