I recall seeing this somewhere before, but can not find it. I just bought a Linksys E2000 wireless router and am thinking of hooking up a usb printer and some other devices. I was going to connect a NETWORK USB 2.0 server to a wired port on the linksys and then, my printer to the server. I was wondering it I could connect a 4 port USB hub to the server and then connect my printer and external hard drive to the usb hub and share between devices on my network?
Will it work? It depends on the USB server you get. Some might support hubs, but you'd best check with the manufacturer. Some routers have sharable USB ports that support hubs. I know my Apple router has a single USB port, but with enough hubs, I can plug in 127 hard drives & printers!
