My asset allocation strategy is to hold a maximum of 133% in equities. This is one of the most useful results of portfolio theory - that if you are reasonably risk tolerant and have a long time horizon (ie. you think you may live more than another 30 years) it makes sense to borrow at a moderate level. The detailed breakdown of allocations all depends on forecasting future betas - you may as well try to forecast interest rates or gold prices!!
