My aunt is 85 and still working

Fine. Plenty of my relatives had Alzheimer's disease in their 80s. Most people are disabled in their 80s to at least the degree where they tire easily. DO you understand what would happen to the productivity of this nation if everyone worked until they were 70? Let alone 85. If your aunt and your mother are happy having their entire one and only lifespan consumed by others, fine, but you are cheating yourself of your one and only life by spending it working until you are too weak to leave the damn bed! What is wrong with allowing the younger person to have a chance to advance?

I'm into my third career and loving it

I'm glad you're happy but it sounds like it is questionable whether you ever get out of student loan hell living like that! Yes, I do know people who as soon as they get a little expertise in an area stick a spoke in that career and go do something else. It is indeed a good thing you plan to work to age 85 because you don't accumulate much in the way of retirement savings that way.

Only the inflexible will be left on the sidelines or in drudge jobs.

I could just as well say that only the inflexible need a job to define themselves and to define their time. But that would be rude. I prefer to use the word "fearful" when referring to those who can't retire because they don't know how to fill their own time.
