my personal experience suggests not using a dot-com name. some of our customers make off-the-cuff jokes at dotcoms' expense. seems more than a little bitterness exists out there. personal wealth lost? :-(


are you going to be a traditional co? with a store or warehouse? with assets? then stay that way and advertise your web savvy site. :)

I know if my heat/air co had a website, then I would order filters on-line instead of calling.. but they don't..

another question.. what market are they going after? traditional fireplace equipment or hard to find accessories....

anyway, most of what matters is sweat equity.
