My property taxes might be higher than in other states, but I feel like they're worth it because my kids are getting a good education. I've also pointed out the signs for new developments with "Homes Starting in the $400s" signs to the girls and talked about how our home isn't that expensive, but those kids are going to go to the same schools they do and get the same education while their parents pay more money for the house and more in property taxes, so it's a better deal to live in a less expensive house in a good town. Living in a less expensive house in a better town is something I read on LBYM before buying our house :)
