My temperament is finally shaken this morning.

You are definitely not alone. I have been buying all week as well and even placed limit orders last night for today. Literally at the last couple of minutes before the market opened, I modified all of them to about $1.00 less per share thinking they would never trigger. When all of them triggered before noon, I really felt sick.

The Dow got close this morning, and now still sits in close proximity of going into 7900 territory.

If Goldman and Merrill fail this weekend, next week will be more of the same. If/when that happens, my portfolio will be in the red over 50%.

It's going to take more than spicy slow-cooked pork to ease my stomach. A couple of Tums floating in vodka sounds a lot better.
