INTRO Here's my semi-annual exercise to see if I remember why I own the stocks I own, and so I can check back and see if their stories have changed. I include the economy and markets to check my perception of the bigger picture. I post in case it helps others too.

Economy & Markets
The stock markets are hitting new records. People are finding jobs. The number of homes at risk is declining. Obamacare is pulling more people into the insured ranks. The US dollar is strong. Interest rates and inflation are low. Each of those has caveats, but the picture would be far worse if the markets were down, unemployment was up, foreclosures were rising, and millions were left uninsured. The situation is excellent, but the inherent instabilities from debt, wealth concentration, and delayed reactions to global environmental and social issues decreases my expectation that the current favorable situation will continue for long.

(I've also collected links to the other discussion boards and my other stocks over on my blog http://trimbathcreative.wordpress.com/2014/12/31/semi-annual...)
