Nader is too weird and too extreme. When he pushed me and everyone in my law school class, very hard, after one of his lectures, to agree to tithe a certain percentage of all of our future income to his party, he lost me.
I just hope a protectionist backlash movement doesn't spring up in America and fuel a right wing "America First" type party. I guess there is no getting around the fact that a third political party would require grass roots organizing from the bottom up. I think America's terrible need for affordable health care will be one of the catalysts and organizing tools for this new party.
There is always the hope that some members of both the Republican and Democratic parties might break away from their parties and realize their middle ground and form some sort of Unity Party?
