Worrying about the debt is so yesterday. When interest rates climb we can just devalue the dollar.

Indeed, worrying is yesterday.

Worrying about getting one's piece of it.....

Now that, is a worthy pursuit.

Good.

Let us see how much it was reduced in 3 years.

Once again, a GOP President hands an incoming Dem President a defecation sandwich, and once
again GQP supporters wail about deficit spending. Take a look at a graph of the national debt,
if you look at it with an iota of honesty in your eyes, you will plainly and easily see that
Republicans do not give a hoot about the national debt.

Out of the loooooooong list of GQP hypocrisies, the focus on national debt only
when a Dem is in office is one of the most irksome. It's also the most easily seen thru
facade of a belief that exists.

47 rallies in last 30 days before election on taxpayers dime...

Q: why do you think the “village idiot” isn’t having rallies now???

A: because he’d have to pay it for and cities would force him to pay up front for overtime for police...

Tony Romo notes he still owes city of El Paso from rally of over 2 years ago...

For the record I'm not concerned by the debt.

Entertained? ok.

Aggressive in getting my share? Yes.

Concerned? No.

But, every time there is a GOP President - leaving a big mess to a Democrat, we are told during those years that the "buck stops there".

Same goes now.

And so far, Israeli bombers and Bank of America CEOs and HMO profits are happy.

While milk for kids costs more.

(Now, if anyone wants to say out loud - Presidents get too much credit, AND to much blame for stuff they have little do with, I'd love that and we can one day drop this stuff. But here's to Democrats and high profits for corporations....credit where due)

So if Trump pays for his 47 rallies will your budget be balanced next year?

What if Trump pays for all his 47 rallies, and I kick in $50 bucks?

Will you have a $50 budget surplus under Biden-Pelosi-Schumer, full Democrat regime?

After all, democrats are doing such a fine job as Big Corporations are making record profits...surely that prowess will bring budget into balance. Trump can't control the year to year budget.

Biden Pelosi Schumer are in charge of that.

Let's hope they do much better than Trump

"BonroyNUTTER!!!"

Personal attack.

"your President created a tax cut in 2017 for the top 1%..."

He was your President too. Just like Obama was my President, and Biden is my President

"Facts Count: 55 of the Fortune 500 companies paid ZERO Federal Tax in 2020..."

Lets hope they pay tons under Biden. We can re-examine that one next year?

"Case in Point: Nike paid ZERO Federal tax in 2020 on 3.9 Billion in profits!!!"

Let's see how much they pay now - it's Biden Pelosi Schumer.

Democrats President. Democrats Senate. Democrats Congress. Surely, in 4 years - they'll have the budget balanced right? Trump doesn't dictate the budget.

Still have to get it past several Republicans.

Democrats in general have never really worried about a balanced budget. That's strictly a GOP hypocrisy special.

"Still have to get it past several Republicans."

Well, that's that "Constitutional Government" we praise Liz Cheney for defending and that we all hold dear. Surely Democrats don't need a dictatorship. Otherwise why bother putting them in power?

I agree, GOP is hypocritical on deficits.

But Ray, it's news to me that Democrats don't worry about a balanced budget - - thank you for clarifying that for me.

BUT, it's deficit spending that adds to the national debt. And if they wanna blame Trump's junkets that's fine, that's legit, but now Trump is gone. So if Democrats are no better than Trump on deficits, I salute your intellectually honest, non partisan statement.

I'm sad actually.

After Ross Perot made it a big issue, it was under a Democratic President the budget got balanced. But now, they don't care. Things change I guess.

Republicans only worry about it when they are not in power.
