negative interest rates is a strange concept to me also. Maybe someone with more knowledge will reply in 100-words-or-less.

The column in Barrons does give a few examples of investment strategies...but as Mr. Forsyth says in the column, and I quote: "Don't try this at home."


I don't try to time the market, but I did just hit some perfect timing, something I never did before:
I used up my Hendricks and my vermouth at the same time, in the same martini. And at EXACTLY the time of year that I was going to move them to the back of the cabinet anyways, and break out the Taquernay and tonic water, and go buy some limes. PERFECT TIMING. (maybe I'll will try timing the market...or at least go buy a lottery ticket).
