NetApp is a Company that sells Enterprise level Storage Arrays (Giant Shelves full of disks). Customers use these storage arrays to store all of their company data.

Examples being Email servers, MYSQL databases, Employee info, customer info, etc...

Think of it this way, when you upload pictures to your favorite social media site; they have to save the picture on a computer disk somewhere... like an enterprise grade digital storage system.

In the last 2 years NetApp (NTAP) stock dropped as low as 20$ per share.

In JUN 2015 NetApp appointed a new CEO George Kurian. Since the appointment as CEO George Kurian and his team have successfully put the Company through a stringent transformation that has cut costs and streamlined many internal processes.

A big part of the changes made has been to focus on emerging products. This change was made most evident when NetApp moved it's flagship Operating system from "7-Mode Data Ontap" to "Clustered Data Ontap" successfully.

The flexibility with Clustered data Ontap has allowed NetApp to deliver on true storage redundancy to allow customers to realistically obtain 100% uptime of their most critical data.

Think about that for a moment...

How important is it for Companies to offer digital solutions to customers? Now-days thats a HUGE DEAL.

Imagine if a bank couldn't access their customer's info because the computer crashed.

Imagine if an Online shopping site goes down on Black Friday because a critical reboot was necessary.

Uptime for Production data is an absolute must that all large companies have to account for on a regular basis and NetApp is currently leading the market in creating new solutions to address Customer needs.

Top growth in the All Flash Storage segment

Partnering with major players such as Microsoft to be involved in the Cloud storage market:

Forbes has published a lot of articles regarding NetApp and it's success.

Kudos to George and Team for Successfully cutting costs and streamlining operations while simultaneously changing their portfolio to better address customer needs has boosted NTAP price from 20$ in JAN 2016 to around 58$ today.
