Texas Instruments, the WORLD LEADER in digital signal processor
(DSP) chip applications has attributed WORLDWIDE recognition to Cape
Range's (Arcadian-Silicon Valley) 3rd Generation
Internet Protocol Multiple Access (IPMA) based wireless technology.
Texas's latest chip will be incorporated into Arcadian's leading edge base and
remote stations. When combined with Cape's
(Arcadian) patented IPMA technology, the new chip will provide wireless
high-speed data and voice communication at
distances up to 50km. The decision by Texas to choose Cape's technology as a
test site for the DSP chip vindicates the
quality and commercial acceptability of Cape's patented IPMA technology.
Cape/Arcadian is now poised to become the world
leader in fixed wireless network solutions for residences and businesses. IPMA
handles integrated voice and data traffic
between base and remote stations that is both more cost effective than other
communication protocols and maximises
available bandwidth.Texas Instruments has 48% of the world market.
Cape/Arcadian is now at the forefront of fixed wireless
technology in a worldwide market that is estimated to require 300 million lines
by 2002. This little Australian company has
had its knockers but in the very near future they'll be dining on humble pie in
the very near future. When reporting their
earnings in the US this morning, Texas Instruments CEO said the future was
WIRELESS and BROADBAND. Now we have
the world leading chip maker acknowledging Cape Range's PATENTED
technology in that very field. You tell me, how long is
it before this company becomes a MAJOR.
