I need to buy two Roth IRA's before April 15. Even though the Markets are jumping all over the place, I plan to buy indexed funds. What families of funds have good Indexed funds? Should these be available through DATEK?
Thank you

Here's a list of the no load variety:

If you plan on buying shares in index funds only, you'd be better off just opening a Roth with a particular fund family (like Vanguard, for example), since you'll pay extra to buy most index funds with brokers like Datek.

Two? for you and your better half, I assume? (sorry, that's how my friends refer to my wife). Actually, you have until April 17th, since the 15th is on a Sunday.

Or, if you've already established an IRA brokerage account, you could by SPY (the S&P 500 "stock") or QQQ (the NASDAQ "stock").
