So, there I was, minding my own business in Michaels, picking up a couple of replacement charms for DD#2s bracelet, when it hit me. I want to make a purse out of an old pair of jeans that I will never wear again. In trying to come up with a lining idea, I ran across some bandanas that are white with pink ribbons on them (Komen Foundation), so I have my plan: I got three bandanas and I will use on as the purse lining, and use the other two as the handle for the purse. It will be the perfect bag for me to carry during the month of October! I plan to whip it up this evening after work. I love it when inspiration strikes:0)

LWW,

I enjoy making purses quite a bit and have a few under my belt. I have one I started with old jeans but didn't finish. You can reuse the back pockets as purse pockets, either removing them and inserting into the lining or leaving on the out side.

Have fun!

That's what I'm planning to do. I'm also leaving the front pockets in place, they'll be between the outside of the purse and the liner. So far it's coming together pretty well. I'm doing the stitching by hand, so I probably won't get it finished until this afternoon.
