Hi everyone --
I am new to this board. I am looking for advice on getting an article published in our local newspaper as a freelance writer. I am looking for any advice on where to start. (I have the concept of the article and am writing it now, and am a pretty good writer.) I just do not know how to approach them, who to call, what format the article needs to be in, and what the going rate might be. Any tips and advice would be appreciated. Along with any helpful websites, groups, etc. The article will be for their "Lifestyles" section. It is just a human interest article. Thanks so much for any pointers. I appreciate it.
