No golfer can smack the ball as far in their late 50's and 60's as they could in their teens/twenties/thirties/forties.

I can definitely vouch for that. I've never hit the ball very far. Started playing when I was 51 and I'm 75 now. I now have to routinely add at least one club to all my distances. Two clubs works even better.

Hey you learn how to attack the game differently at this age (i.e.: putt for dough drive for show).
