The instruction related to when to apply for Medicare reads, "Generally, we advise people to file for Medicare benefits 3 months before age 65." What precisely does that actually mean if, for example, one turns 65 on July 28?

On or after--but not earlier--than March 28?
On or after--but not earlier--than April 28?
Any day during March?
Any day during April?

I think any day during April or later.

Note: you can find a lot of answers on Medicare.Gov

Also: If you receive any phone calls about problems with your medicare account. hang up. Medicare will never contact you that way. Look up the phone number in Medicare.Gov and call them directly.
